Corrections, Fall, and My Birthday!

Hi everyone!

So, I was just reading my previous posts on my blog, and I realized a few corrections I need to clear up:

I was actually adopted on February 1st, not the 28th

My birthday is not in the beginning of November, it's actually in six days! I will be one, or seven in dog years.

So, my birthday is on October 18th. My sisters are going to make peanut butter doggie cupcakes and bring them to all of my doggie friends in the neighborhood!

Now, I love to eat my mommy's lavender plants and I love to snuggle with my puppy (Claire)
I give her a thorough sniff-down every day when she gets home from school. I love car rides, peanut butter bones, and seeing my friends in the dog park.

So, now that I am old enough to go to the dog park, I love it! So many doggies there look just like me, and we all like to play together. Once, I met a Samoyed and a Great Dane. Also, I met a yellow dog named Biscuit who looked just like Biscuit from the books!

My puppy and I love to watch Dog With a Blog together every Friday night at 8:30. We especially like the new Halloween episode.

Well, keep checking back for more!

Barks and kisses!

Me!!!!!

So I realized that the last post I posted didn't really tell you much about me. Well, my real name is Gloria, but I had it changed to Riley when I was adopted. I was adopted from Stepping Stones Canine Rescue in Winston-Salem. If you live in Winston-Salem and need a rescue puppy, go to www.lovethemutt.org. They have a wonderful staff that helped take care of me and my litter-brother, Parker. We were abandoned and they only found the two of us. And I turned out pretty well! I was born in the beginning of November, 2012. When I was adopted, I was about 3 or 4 months old. Here's a picture of me the night I was adopted:

This is me and my litter-brother, Parker. I haven't seen him in a long time.

Well, as you can tell, my favorite color is red!!!! So back to my life story: on February 28, 2013, I was adopted from Stepping Stones. We met my new longpaw family at a pet store in Winston-Salem. The first person that took me from my foster family was Claire, my longpaw sister. We both knew we were going to be best friends from that day on. So we went home, and the next day, Claire was sick. So I dragged my bed over to the couch next to her, and guarded her until she was better. Whenever she is sad, I give her kisses and full sniff-downs to make her laugh.
From then on, whenever I don't feel good, she gives me back rubs and snuggles me along with the rest of the family. She loves me and even paints my nails red, my favorite color! We play outside with my pink tennis ball, green Frisbee and go on walks. My longpaw mom takes me to the dog park too. And my favorite dog in our neighborhood is Drake, a 97-pound chocolate lab who comes to visit me whenever he goes on walks.
My favorite food is sweet potato. I know, weird, but I got to eat it to make me feel better when I had a tummy ache for a week. I love to sit on my longpaws' laps. I was just sitting on Claire's lap showing her how I blog. I like to listen to Claire and her sister Julia play piano. I lay on the squishy mini chair in the piano room when they practice. My favorite hobby is I love to shave the fuzz off of tennis balls. and raise my hackles (or back fur, as longpaws call it) at passing pedestrians (I'm very intelligent, I like vocab words). Well, I need another nap now. Oh and I love car rides! And naps.

My First Blog

Hi, I'm Riley!
I'm seven months old and I came from the shelter. I'm a mutt. Well, mostly black lab (that was Mom, a labrador) and we don't know what Dad was, so I'm pretty much a mutt. Well, let me tell you about me. I have three sisters (Claire, Julia, and Kasey), a mom and dad (they are longpaws, or as they call themselves, "humans"), six longpaw cousins on Mom's side of the family: Sydney, Kaitlin, Emily, Jackson, Sarah, and Alex. I also have a cousin of my own kind: Daisy. You know, she has a blog too, come to think of it. I'll have to post pictures of my family later. I've never met Daisy, but I love her! Here's how to get to her blog:

it's www.daisy-dog-blog.blogspot.com

This is my beagle cousin, Daisy. She's the one with the blog.
